Anshul Jubli Biography

Anshul Jubli was born on January 13, 1995, in New Delhi, India. He will be 28 years old as of the year 2023. He holds a science bachelor’s degree. A buddy of Anshul’s older brother exposed him to combat sports in 2015.

Anshul started getting ready for the Combined Defence Services Examination after he finished his official studies. He passed the written exam in 2017, but the Service Selection Board (SSB) disqualified him.

Anshul claimed in an interview that he and his companion started viewing videos posted on YouTube by well-known MMA coaches like John Danaher and Firas Zahabi. Anshul Jubli stated that he performed the exercises and methods taught by creators in the videos.

Anshul was unable to pursue formal training in MMA because Dehradun, where his parents had relocated, lacked any reputable MMA training facilities.

While studying for the CDSE, he nonetheless started learning boxing at a gym in Dehradun because he thought that obtaining certifications in a combat sport would improve his chances of being chosen for the Indian Army.

Anshul stated during an interview, “My companion and I discovered the YouTube videos of John Danaher, a highly regarded BJJ- and MMA instructor, and Firas Zahabi while preparing for the CDS. We used to study throughout the day and attempt to repeat the procedures we had learned from the videos at night. My interest in sports was piqued even more by this.”

Anshul later decided against entering the Indian Army after meeting a retired colonel who inspired him to seek a career in mixed martial arts (MMA). Anshul and his companion moved to New Delhi in 2018 to undergo MMA training, and they enrolled themselves in Crosstrain Fight Club (CFC).

There, he received martial arts instruction in Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing, wrestling, and grappling from National Jiu-Jitsu winner Siddharth Singh. Anshul claimed in an interview that due to his unemployment, he was forced to borrow funds from his friends and share a small room in Delhi with three other individuals.

Anshul Jubli MMA

Anshul competed in his first amateur MMA match against Harish Kumar at the Bodypower: India Open MMA Championships and comes out as winning the contest. The 2017 BodyPower India Open MMA Championship was won by Anshul.

In 2019, Anshul took part in an MMA competition in the Philippines. After a brawl between the participants broke out in the arena, the professional matchmakers decided to call off the event, forcing him to return to India.

Anshul revealed during an interview that he had to borrow funds from his buddies at the CFC in order to participate in the competition. Anshul considered abandoning MMA because he didn’t have any money and had already loaned a lot of money after the bout was postponed, and the matchmaker not only ignored his calls but also blocked him on social media.

Anshul Jubli competed in The Shillong Cage Fighting title in 2018, but Anshul was unable to compete in the title since his opponent withdrew from the event, resulting in cancellation of the fight.

Anshul Jubli competed in 13 amateur events over the course of his career and never lost any of them.

Once more, I had to borrow money from my close friends, who in turn had borrowed from others, he claimed, adding, “The event appeared to be well-organized. Before the bout, my opponent and I had a terrific face-off in front of the local media.

However, a brawl broke out at the arena as he was warming up, and the match was called off. I was angry about the cancellation. The first thing that came to me was that cash I needed to repay my buddies.

So, I went to the event’s promoter, who made all kinds of excuses for why he couldn’t pay me. If nothing else, I pleaded with him to give me sufficient funds to purchase a flight home. The dubious promoter disappeared.

Anshul Jubli road to UFC

On June 29, 2019, Anshul took part in his first professional MMA competition at Matrix Fight Night (MFN) 2. Sanjeet Budhwar was the opponent in his debut match.

The competition didn’t include Anshul when it first started. But after persuading his coach Siddharth that he could not only compete with Sanjeet but also prevail over him, he was added to the list.

According to Anshul’s coach, he was suggested because no one wanted to take on Sanjeet. Anshul defeated Sanjeet in a verdict that was reached unanimously.

On December 20, 2019, at MFN 3, he squared off against Amit Kumar and won by a unanimous decision. Anshul knocked Rajith Chandran unconscious with a punch on February 20, 2020, during the fourth season of MFN.

On December 20, 2020, Anshul Jubli defeated Srikant Sekhar in MFN 5. On September 24, 2021, Anshul took part in the sixth season of MFN. He competed in the event against Iranian MMA fighter Mohammad Mahmoudiyan. Mahmoudiyan was submitted by Anshul, who then defeated him by using an arm triangle grip.

Anshul Jubli UFC Fight

Later, he became a member of the Indonesian Soma Fight Club. In 2022, Anshul took part in the Road to UFC competition in Las Vegas, Nevada, which was sponsored by the UFC.

Anshul was scheduled to face off against Japanese MMA fighter Patrick Sho Usami on June 10, 2022, but the bout never happened because Patrick was disqualified for improper weight control and Anshul advanced directly to the semi-finals instead.

Anshul expressed his disappointment with the disqualification of Patrick during an interview, noting that the man had trained for the quarterfinals and was anxious to compete. He added that it took two to three days for him to settle down.

When discussing it, he stated, ” When I learned that I had advanced directly to the semifinals, I was unhappy. I struggled with my mental state over the following two or three days. But with time, I came to understand that what had happened had already happened, possibly for the best.”

On October 23, 2022, Anshul faced off against South Korean MMA fighter KyeongPyo Kim, and on an uneven decision, he prevailed.
